Flour Flour Everywhere [Kellyann's Group]

Today was a wonderful second day for the girls in my group. We started out our day in the backyard with some yoga. We had many participants, but our new friends Mia S. and Mckenna decided that today they just wanted to watch and see what it was all about. :)

After yoga, we moved on to the sensory table, which was filled with flour. The girls really enjoyed this exploration; Mia was happy to just use her fingers to feel the flour and
play, while Mckenna felt that she needed to explore by seeing what it would feel like on her arms, face, and dress. :) After cleaning the flour off our bodies, we moved in to the music/ nap room where we played the drums while we sang "Old mcdonald had a farm", and "The wheels on the bus". We also used the overhead projector to draw our names and shapes on. Mia and Mckenna were so excited by this! They would draw something on the glass , then run to the wall. They loved seeing what they were creating up on the big wall. Mckenna has also discovered everyone's favorite doll at the school-the "little asian babydoll." Mckenna spent a lot of time with the doll, while Mia was working on puzzles. I noticed that Mckenna kept wrapping the babydoll up, so I showed her how to use the scarf as a carrier for the baby. This quickly peaked Mia`s interest as well, so the girls took turns holding the babydoll in their "carriers".
